Raw Deals on Fresh Fish: Tip-of-the-Day #9

MAKE YOUR FAVORITE SUSHI AT HOME

Love sushi? Me too. And fortunately I live in San Francisco and happen to have access to some pretty fabulous seafood markets with sushi grade fish that I can carve up and serve myself!

If you don’t live in a major metropolitan area or don’t trust the local seafood purveyors, Trader Joe's (now in just about every city across the US) has sushi grade tuna that does the trick!

You can buy your fish by the pound, and make a tartare, sashimi or nigiri plate the next time you’re craving raw fish.

You’ll save a lot of money and impress your friends at the same time. It’s S-I-M-P-L-E.

P.S. You don’t need to roll or wrap anything – just lay the fresh fish on a small bed of white rice. There is however a "Sushi for Dummies" book available at Amazon and for less than ten bucks you can quickly learn the basics. Woot!
