Why spend $10 on a bev at the bar when you can make that same drink at home for a fraction of the cost??
When most of my friends were single it was admittedly fun to get a drink on the town. But now that my social circle is primarily married with kids, the “fun” is in scoring the biggest bottle of booze at the best possible price. That way, it can be safely tucked into the freezer compartment at home and pulled out whenever needed. I keep a handy Bartender's guide at my ready for every occasion.
