Flowers in Varied Vessels: Tip-of-the-Day #290

Sometimes I like to get creative with how I arrange and present flowers. After some trial and error, I've found that the best place for fresh cut flowers is a vessel you might be using for something else....

In this picture, I am using my sangria pitcher to hold two bunches of tulips. A glass pitcher is a great way to display something beautiful in a very unique way (also a good place to layer candy or display fruit).

That said, other unusual and artistic vessels include empty vodka or bourbon bottles because the shape is conducive to long stemmed flowers and you can either leave the label in place or remove it with a spot of windex.

You can also line a bag or satchel with plastic and place fresh flowers in there. Why not get creative and save a few dollars the next time you're in need of a vase? Your only limitation is your own creativity. :)
