Drugstore Brands Can Be Best: Tip-of-the-Day #13

LASH OUT AT DEPARTMENT STORE PRICING

Have you been using expensive department store makeup since you were a tween? I’m sure back then your mom was buying it for you, but now that you’re scrimping, there really are great drugstore brands that work EXACTLY the same way!

For example, Lancome’s Juicy Tubes lip gloss costs $14 a tube. However, the same exact company makes Loreal’s Colour Juice which costs about half as much. The cost difference is supposedly in the service you’re getting at the cash register. Like we care! And, here's the tip of the century: I used to spend a fortune on expensive lip liners - MAC, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, you name it - then I found Jordana! This has the same anti-feathering properties, stays on longer and requires no sharpening. For $2 it's the two buck Chuck of lip liners.

Some of my favorite mascaras are drugstore brands. Almay and Revlon are two standouts. You’ll save at least $20 a pop over department store prices!
