BORROW BOOKS INSTEAD OF BUYING THEM
Are you in a book club? Do you meet every month? I am! And my pocket book was feeling the purchase every four weeks!
One day a more frugal (and savvy) girlfriend of mine mentioned that she was borrowing the monthly book club reads from our local public library. Brilliant! (And hard to believe I didn't think of it. Buh.)
Now I’ve taken a page out of her book(!) and I’ve renewed my library card. I visit the library fairly regularly for my book club must-reads and beyond!
Note: I also recently discovered a website called PaperBackSwap where I can trade my books for books I haven’t read yet! VERY cool site. Then too, when I'm feeling a bit lazy or need a book quick, there's always Amazon for new and used purchases.
